Our history


Our 30 year track record supporting customers and helping them to make efficiency savings in their business.

  • Present

    • Today, Credit Card Keys operates as a group including both CCKEYS and Smartbox. Offering a range of different key and asset storage solutions all over the world whilst continually developing new and its existing product line.

  • 2016

    • Further updates are made to the cabinets of both mechanical and electronic systems resulting in one of the most secure solutions available internationally.

  • 2015

    • C.C.Keys releases the electronic key management system under Smartbox, which still leads the field in technologic capability, versatility and security.

  • 2014

    • An updated mechanical board and peg design are introduced offering a more contemporary option to the product range.

  • 2013

    • To reflect the increased uptake in Keymanager security systems, Credit Card Keys embarks on a branding overhaul to become C.C.Keys.

  • 2011

    • Due to continued growth, Credit Card Keys moves to a new premises with increased space and better access to the nationwide transport network.

  • 2005

    • A new and uprated level security cabinet is produced.

  • 2002

    • Credit Card Keys continues with product development releasing the Drop Box for unmanned key delivery and the first iteration of the Trade Plate manager.

  • 1999

    • Updates to the Keymanager cabinet are made to increase security.

  • 1996

    • Business continues to grow rapidly as Ford Europe and the AA adopt Credit Card Keys systems.

  • 1995

    • Credit Card Keys introduces a transponder option.

  • 1990

    • As demand increased for secure key management solutions, Credit Card Keys established and secured a foothold in the market, supplying a multitude of dealerships and body shops with key management devices.

  • 1987

    • A requirement for secure key storage had begun to develop, the first Keymanager system was designed and introduced to the automotive industry.

Feedback

A prompt answer to our initial query with several options presented with suggestions on what solution was best to fit our needs in the most cost-effective way possible. Last minute amendments to the colour of key hangers and pegs allowed us to modify our storage plans based on the growing and changing dynamic the temporary site highlighted after our initial order.

We here at DO&CO Event and Airline Catering service Heathrow, Gatwick and London City Airports time is imperative. Before we have the Smartbox system installed we had challenges with not only the location of keys but who was the last employee holding them. The Smartbox system has improved our operation efficiencies and reduce the time factor of looking for keys, it also helps up make our staff accountable. Having the option to authorise certain staff only to have access to certain vehicles is critical. The Smartbox we use holds 60 sets of keys, which means we can hold and control both original and spare keys. All airport security companies we work with are aware of the Smartbox system we use and this passes all of the security audit processes.

The purchase, planning and installation of our Smartbox systems went very smoothly with no hitches and it worked straight out of the box. It has attracted universal praise for its ease of operation and efficiency and has already significantly improved our vehicle key security and, more importantly, historical accountability.

Capital Living is a managing agent of 50 HMO properties in London. We had problems tracking keys out with contractors and previously it relied on someone booking them out and checking them in, a very time-consuming process and only available between office hours. After looking at a few key tracking options, CCKEYS were the best value and offered a very comprehensive solution that people can now access 24/7.
